Overview

Voltenworks builds developer tools. We respect your privacy, we do not sell your data, and we collect only what is necessary to deliver our products and improve them.

What we collect

Email addresses (purchases and free downloads)

When you purchase a paid theme or request a free theme download, we collect your email address. This is used solely to send you a permanent download link for the product you requested. Your email is stored by our payment processor (Stripe) for paid purchases and by our email service (Resend) for delivery.

Email subscription (optional)

When downloading a free theme, you have the option to subscribe to updates about new theme releases and blog posts. This is entirely optional and is not required to receive your download. If you subscribe, your email is added to our mailing list via Resend. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

CLI usage telemetry

The ShipUI CLI (npx @voltenworks/shipui) sends anonymous usage data when components or starters are installed via our registry API. This includes the command type (add, init), the component or starter name, the theme slug, and the CLI version. No personally identifiable information is collected. No email addresses, IP addresses, or machine identifiers are stored. This data helps us understand which components and themes are most useful.

Download telemetry

When a download link is used, we log the product name and a truncated, one-way hash of the email address. This hash cannot be reversed to recover the original email. It is used only to understand repeat download patterns in aggregate. No raw email addresses are stored in telemetry.

Error telemetry

When API errors occur (failed authentication, missing resources), we log the error type and source. No user-identifying information is included in error logs.

What we do not collect

We do not collect browsing behavior, device fingerprints, or tracking cookies beyond basic analytics (Google Analytics) on our marketing site. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not share, sell, or rent your email address or any other data to third parties.

Payment processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or other payment details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our marketing site to understand traffic patterns. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser extension or by disabling cookies.

Data storage

Email delivery is handled by Resend. Payment data is handled by Stripe. Anonymous telemetry data is stored in AWS S3. Our website is hosted on Vercel.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@voltenworks.com. If you subscribed to our mailing list, you can unsubscribe using the link in any email or by contacting us directly. Download links remain permanent and are not affected by unsubscribing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our products evolve. Significant changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page. We will not retroactively reduce your privacy protections without notice.
